Elementary School Positions

2022 - 2023 Math Teacher

The Yellowstone teacher is the most important role on the Yellowstone campus. Through the teacher’s leadership, students will learn in a classroom environment that is academically rigorous, emotionally supportive, community-minded, and inspires excellence. Teachers must be knowledgeable in their content area, have a passion for working with students, and be ready to work hard on behalf of the Academy’s mission and our families.

The Yellowstone Schools substitute teacher is an integral role that sustains the Yellowstone academic regimen. Through the teacher’s leadership, students will learn in a classroom environment that is academically rigorous, emotionally supportive, community-minded, and inspires excellence. Teachers must be knowledgeable in their content area, have a passion for working with students, and be ready to work hard on behalf of the Academy’s mission and our families.

The instructional assistant helps the lead teacher with all elements of daily instruction in the classroom. He or she also helps with

classroom management and behavior/discipline for the whole class, small groups of students, and individual student redirection, in addition to other assigned duties.

Middle School Positions

The Yellowstone College Prep teacher is the most important role on the Yellowstone campus. Through the teacher’s leadership, students will learn in a classroom environment that is academically rigorous, emotionally supportive, community-minded, and inspires excellence. Teachers must be knowledgeable in their content area, have a passion for working with students, and be ready to work hard on behalf of the Yellowstone College Prep mission and our families. 

The Instructional Assistant will work alongside the Director of Special Populations to provide assistance with the following:

  • All elements of daily instruction in the classroom
  • Monitoring student behavior/discipline for the whole class, small groups of students, and individual student redirection
  • Observing and evaluating student’s academic and social/emotional growth and development
  • Lesson planning and preparation of classroom materials, activities, and centers (including making copies)
  • Transitioning students during arrival, lunch, and dismissal
  • Planning and facilitating intervention instruction as determined as directed by the admin team
  • As needed and assigned, serve as the lead instructor or assistant for ancillary classes or other “specialist” blocks
  • As needed and assigned, serve as the substitute instructor for content classes
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

Campus Support & Administrative Positions

The accountant will ensure that state, federal, and company policies and procedures are followed with respect to financial transactions for Yellowstone Schools (which includes two separate legal entities with separate and distinct financial environments) with ample room for growth and professional development. The accountant will join a team of other accountants that report to and work alongside the CFO to produce timely reports for Board presentation and approval.

The Donor Service Coordinator is responsible for processing all philanthropic gifts and acknowledgments in a timely and accurate manner. The coordinator is also responsible for the management of the donor database (Raiser’s Edge) ensuring that data entered can be pulled in a consistent, accurate way. The coordinator assists with direct mail and other lists and reports as necessary. This position also works as an invaluable member of the advancement team on projects and events.

The Communications Manager creates and manages external and internal communications for Yellowstone Schools, including but not limited to: marketing materials, website, social media presence, emergency communications, and press releases. The purpose of these responsibilities is to engage and educate the community on the work of Yellowstone Schools while maintaining brand standards and building awareness. This position is responsible for creating clear, meaningful, and informative communications across the school, Greater Third Ward, donor community, and city.

The school bus chaperone will assist the school bus driver in maintaining discipline while the bus is in operation, maintain proper records and documentation, and assist student loading, unloading, and seating arrangements, as required.
