Lower School Positions (PK-5th Grade)

The Reading Specialist duties include working with students in grades 1 – 5 who have been identified as needing intensive intervention. The students will be selected based on MAP performance as well as running record reading levels. Student progress will be monitored, and support will be prioritized based on need. Ultimately, the goal is to support student growth by 1.5 grade levels over the course of the school year.

The instructional assistant helps the lead teacher with all elements of daily instruction in the classroom. He or she also helps with classroom management and behavior/discipline for the whole class, small groups of students, and individual student redirection, in addition to other assigned duties.

Upper School Positions (6th-9th Grade)

The special education assistant/paraprofessional at provides dedicated support to students with special needs, ensuring they receive personalized attention and assistance in their educational journey. They collaborate closely with teachers to create inclusive learning environments, fostering the academic and social development of every student.

Part-time, Non-exempt

The Transition Specialist is responsible for overseeing the district’s Special Education Transition Program and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements; provides guidance and support to special education students and their families, as students transition from high school to employment, trade school, higher education, and/or independent living.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree for an accredited college/university
  • Valid Special Education Certificate (EC-12)
  • Master’s degree in education or related special education field preferred

Campus Support & Administrative Positions

The Assistant Director of Admissions roles is designed to provide valuable experience and development opportunities to the successful candidate, with the goal of transitioning into the Director of Admissions role within one year. The Assistant Director of Admissions will play a pivotal role in driving student enrollment, fostering positive relationships with prospective families, and ensuring a seamless admissions process.

The school bus driver transports passengers to and from school as well as special events. They will ensure adherence to safety rules and may assist passengers in boarding or exiting.

The Communications Manager creates and manages external and internal communications for Yellowstone Schools, including but not limited to: marketing materials, website, social media presence, emergency communications, and press releases. The purpose of these responsibilities is to engage and educate the community on the work of Yellowstone Schools while maintaining brand standards and building awareness. This position is responsible for creating clear, meaningful, and informative communications across the school, Greater Third Ward, donor community, and city.

The school bus chaperone will assist the school bus driver in maintaining discipline while the bus is in operation, maintain proper records and documentation, and assist student loading, unloading, and seating arrangements, as required.
